Growing up, I (Tambra) was an only child.
And I loved it! I had a great childhood. But sometimes, you just would like somone close to your age to play with. My cousin Chad and I are a week and 4 days apart and is the brother I never technically had. We’re pretty much the babies in the family, all but one of our cousins is at least 4 years older than us, which in kids years may as well have been 20 years. We spent a lot of time together as kids and about drove our Granny insane. And if you ask her, she’ll tell you how “rotten” we were. She claims that out of all of her grandkids, we were the meanest…which I highly doubt, knowing my older cousins.
Chad’s daughter Addison and my daughter Kayde are about 3 months apart, which I think is totally awesome. Chad, however, lives about 4 hours away, in the town where we grew up, and I don’t get to see them near enough. Addison turned 2 in October and I was beyond ecsatic to take her pictures in downtown Pikeville…a place I had been wanting to shoot since I first picked up a camera.
See how long her hair is? I’m so totally jealous! Kayde is bald is comparison!
How cute is she?!?!
Favorite.
Addison’s mom, Keisha, was pregnant (and I mean PREGNANT…like due any day) when I took these images. A few weeks later, Mr. Cason made his debut.
When we were back in Pikeville for our New Year’s Christmas, I met, and of course fell in love with, Cason and took some newborn pictures along with a few family pictures. Watch for those in the upcoming weeks.
But for now, here’s a sneak peek!
